Welcome to the Phillip Wellman Dynasty League. This dynasty league is a 24 team head-to-head league that uses unlimited minor league rosters, a salary cap, a yearly free agent auction, and a yearly prospect draft.
Please refer to the league rules to familiarize yourself with how this league is set up and ask any questions you have before you apply. We ask that only dedicated fantasy owners apply to this league. We do not require any specific time commitment to the league except we require that you be an active owner. If a team remains inactive for an extended period of time, the board will replace the inactive owner with an active one. If something comes up and you have to be away for a while, let us know and we'll work something out.
Other than that, just have fun building your team!
To apply to the league please reply to this thread with the following: First Name Age Fantasy Baseball Experience Why you're interested in PWDL Your preference in teams (our goal is to get owners who run one of their favorite teams).

West I've been in lots of leagues of all types. Haven't done one like this, looks fun. Thanks for the invite. I was in a league with the Nationals owner, he pmed me and told me how much fun this kind of league was. I like how deep it is. Boston is my preference. I like KC too.

*Troy *Old *I've been managing since 2006. 2 or more teams per year since 2007. I've played H2H, roto, keeper, and dynasty formats. Never one with salaries/contracts like this one. *Interested in the amounts of teams, the deep dynasty aspect, and how the salaries/contracts play into the startegy. *St. Louis is my preference. Royals would be 2nd choice.

Troy you have the Cards. I should have mentioned it for Red Sox, but I'll change your tag to "Cardinals GM". All of your login info remains the same, but your forum name will just appear as "Cardinals GM".
For everyone else, Troy brought up something I should clarify for people when they're looking at teams. When you select your team you will own: 1. All the players listed on the team's starter roster (posted in the team folder) 2. All players first signed by your team if they were signed prior to 2013. So any prospects your team signed first will be yours, except for 2013 international signings, 2013 draft picks, and players who appear on another team's starter roster.
For our first draft, the draft pool will include: 1. All 2013 signings 2. All the players owned by one of the 6 teams that are unused (our league will have 24 owners).
After the draft, any 2013 guys who were not signed will automatically become the property of the team whose real-life counterpart signed them.
Example: Draft pool- Marlins players (assuming the Marlins are one of the six unused teams) 2013 draft picks (Appel, Gray, etc.)
Teams can draft a guy from the Marlins major and minor league system like Stanton, Fernandez, or Heaney. Teams can draft any player from the 2013 draft like Appel, Gray, etc.
If a Marlins owned player is not drafted, he remains Marlins property and will be available to be drafted the next year. If a 2013 guy is not drafted, for example if Appel isn't drafted and we have an owner for the Astros, he will become Astros property at the end of the draft and will not be in the draft pool next year. If we don't have an owner for the Astros, Appel will becomes Astros property but will be available to be drafted next year.

Also, for the new guys coming aboard, yesterday I finished contracts on the NL starter rosters. I'll get started on the AL contracts today or tomorrow. Feel free to get started early on your own like the Cubs did.

my name is Reza and am in several leagues including ones on proboards. I am in a couple of dyansty leagues and have a pretty good knowledge the minors. I joined a league similiar to this last year, however, the LM got flooded by Sandy and had to stop the league. If accepted and the Twins are available, I would like to take them on. If not, Seattle..

Name's Trevor. Was invited by Reza (twins now)..I have been in several proboards' leagues throughout the years. 22 years old, probably 8 years fantasy baseball experience.I'm actually in a league like this currently, but took control of it after a previous owner left it in shambles - it's a 30 team league as well. I believe I'm quite knowledgeable on the minor leagues and think it's fun creating a minor league system and seeing your players realize their potential. I'll take the pirates if available. Seattle would be my second choice.

Hey. My name is Jeff, 34 and living in Boston. I have been playing in redraft leagues, roto and H2H, for about five years. I have been looking for a dynasty league to commit to and really like the setup and depth of this one. Actually kind of glad that my hometown team has been taken--it should make this interesting! Can I get in with Atlanta?
Hey Jeff, good to have you. Atlanta is yours.

Hey, my name is Matt, also from Boston. I am an obsessed fantasy sports enthusiast. I actually found this through the amazing faketeams.com website I apart of a dynas keeper team that I joined last year. Apoorly designed league, but I have had fun rebuilding the team. I have also been apart of various yearly money leagues for many years. Have a strong understanding of the minor leagues. This league honestly sounds amazing to me. Obviously since Boston has been chosen. I'll take Baltimore if I'm accepted.
