Week One NL results:
Nats @ Marlins: solid results across the board on both sides, ends in a tie. Stanton is in full beast mode and is not fun to see in the other guy's lineup. Harper and Braun equally disappointing.
Pirates @ DBacks: Pirates rotation is a little short-handed and DBacks power pitching helps DBacks to squeak this one out 6-4-2. Lester starred for Pirates and Sale/Goldscmidt dominated for DBacks.
Braves @ Reds: Braves nipped the Reds 6-4-2, relying on killer speed, strong relief, and a great week from his starters. Reds rotation was short this week. Freddie Freeman ate his wheaties and Johnny Cueto threw darts.
Dodgers @ Rockies: 7-4-1 Dodgers win, aided by a deep rotation and sick week from Trumbo. Rockies showing off the pitfalls of inviting a guy into the league who leaves without telling anyone.
Giants @ Cards: 6-5-1 Giants surged to victory behind Belt, whose breakout I've been told is real. Cards had a bad hitting weak, but a good pitching week headlined by Wainwright.
Mets @ Cubs: 10-2 Mets rock Cubs as Crisp leads his new team against his old one. Cubs need guys to get eligibility and for some pitching prospects to get called up.

Week One AL results:
Tigers at Astros: Tigers 11-0-1. Rebuilding Astros are going to have a rough year. Tigers rely on the reliable Miggy.
Rays @ Rangers: Cashner, Longoria led Rays 8-2-2 over Liriano and the Rangers.
Angels @ Red Sox: Sox pull this one out 6-5-1. Gallardo looking like a good trade pick up, solid week for Angels' rotation.
Indians @ Royals: Royals take K category by 2 and prevail 6-5-1. Torii Hunter starts the season strong for Tiggers, James Shields looking like an ace for Royals.
Twins @ A's: Twins use bats to overcome weak pitching and power ahead of A's 7-5. Fantastic week from Feldman is spoiled by Napoli/Alexei Ramirez combo.
Mariners @ O's: 9-3 win for Mariners. O's had a solid week but Justin Smoak helped M's shine brighter. Chase Utley puts up a great week in a losing cause.

Week 2 Movers and Shakers: NL: Dodgers Giants Braves Rockies AL: Angels Twins Rangers A's
Week 2 AL Matchups:
Astros v Mariners: Astros win 10-2, just squeaking by in hitting but having amazing performances from nearly all pitchers. King Felix and a resurgent Mike Morse lead Mariners in defeat while converted starter Chavez and Oberholtzer highlight the Astros week 2.
Angels v Rays: Angels 9-3. Rays leave their bats at home in this one while the Angels injected theirs with steroids. Angels starters also turn in solid performances. Pujols is player of the week for the Angels, Cashner takes the honor for the Rays.
Rangers v Indians: Rangers 10-2 but this one was closer than the result indicates. Solid week across the board, though the Indians were a little light in the batters box. Players of the week (PotW): Kazmir for the Rangers, Aaron "Lurch" Harang for the Indians
Red Sox v Tigers: Tigers 8-4 but this one was also tight. Both teams had skinny weeks at the plate. Wood continues to be solid for the Sox, while the Tigers enjoyed the last week of the season for Avisail Garcia and a typically solid performance by Verlander.
Royals v A's: A's take this one 7-5 on the basis of superior pitching. Hitting cats were more even. New Royals 3B Donaldson went beast mode against his previous employer while Zobrist brought the ruckus for the A's.
Twins v O's: Surprising Twins win 7-5. Twins had dominant week at the plate and noone was more dominant than Alexei Ramirez. Orioles had a great week across the board but were unlucky to run into the Twins buzzsaw offense. Colby Rasmus figured it out this week for the O's.

Week 2 NL Matchups:
Cardinals v Cubs: Cards 6-5-1. Cubs batter the Cards with power bats, Cards batter the Cubs with power pitching. Cards speed is the difference in this one. Wacha leads the Cards with 2 great starts. Castro reveals that not all Castros are dead with a huge week for Cubs.
Pirates v Nationals: Nats 6-5-1. Monster week for both clubs at the plate, Nats were a little stronger. Nats tossed pitching depth at the Pirates superior pitching quality. Franchise players Beltran and Werth lead the way for their clubs.
Marlins v Braves: Braves 7-5. Another ridiculous hitting matchup, Braves had the edge though. Marlins took the edge in pitching but fall short. Ryan Braun was Ryan Braun. Justin Upton reminds us not to forget about him.
DBacks v Dodgers: Dodgers 9-2. This one was a lot closer than the final score but Dodgers had a solid week across the board. Yadier Molina paced the DBacks. AGon was PotW for Dodgers and possibly had the best week of any batter.
Reds v Giants: Giants 8-3-1. Giants week at the plate was big and also had solid pitching. Reds are suffering with a short pitching staff. Joey Votto brought his A game but was outshined by the pesky Brandon Crawford.
Rockies v Mets: Rockies 9-3. Super solid week from Rox. Rox showcased Calos squared (Gonzalez + Gomez) and Price in his last week with the team. Mets are proving to be a smooth team in trades as Olt/Wieters/Ventura were all excellent.
